Nesquehoning Police Officers

The Borough of Nesquehoning is accepting applications for a full-time police officer.  The starting rate of pay will be based on the police contract.The applicant must meet the following qualifications: must be a citizen of the United States, have an accredited high school or equivalent education, hold an Act 120 certification, shall be medically fit for the performance of the duties of a police officer, of good moral character, licensed to operate a motor vehicle, and must be no less than 21 years of age at the time of application.  Applicants must pass a written & physical agility test as well as oral interview.  Applicants must also be able to pass a polygraph and drug/alcohol exam.  There is a $25.00 non-refundable application fee.  E.O.E. Applications may be obtained in the Borough Office, 114 West Catawissa Street, Nesquehoning, Monday - Friday, between the hours of 8:00 a.m. – 4:00 p.m. or on the Borough’s website www.nesquehoning.org 

Applications must be returned to the Borough Secretary in a sealed envelope by 4:00 p.m. on Monday, August 2, 2021
